About the Role

The Assistant Estimator is a key member of our estimating team, responsible for coordinating quantity takeoffs, subcontractor qualifications, and research to support our estimators and business expansion manager.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the estimating process runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Build relationships with clients, designers, and subcontractors to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
  • Facilitate collaboration among team members to deliver high-quality results.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and apply unit pricing for material and labor to establish a value for the work.
  • Understand the full scope of the project through document review and questioning of the design team and owner.
  • Prepare qualifications and assumptions for the estimate.
  • Manage subcontractor solicitation and selection processes as required.
  • Ensure quality control of bids and estimates.
