Job Title: Leader-Surgical Reprocessing Tech- Full Time-Day Shift

Henry Ford Health System is a leading academic hospital and research center seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Leader-Surgical Reprocessing Tech- Full Time-Day Shift.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to lead our Surgical Reprocessing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the daily operations of the department, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and collaborating with Surgical Services leadership members and physicians to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Surgical Reprocessing team to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Surgical Services leadership members and physicians to provide exceptional patient care
  • Supervise and evaluate team members to ensure high-quality performance
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Completion of a medical terminology course is helpful
  • Central Service Certification and one year experience in a Central Service environment
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The individual must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.

This is a full-time position working day shifts. The successful candidate will be required to work in a flexible and changing environment and may be exposed to noisy equipment, aerosols, chemical detergents, needles, blades, sharp instruments, body fluids and tissues, ethylene oxide and its effects, wet floors, steam and a hot and humid environment.
