Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise food preparation, ensuring portion control and presentation quality.
- Ensure compliance with dietary orders for special diets.
- Participate in food preparation and service as needed.
- Coordinate food service staff activities to guarantee timely and appropriate patient service.
- Foster a collaborative environment by guiding and supporting team members.
- Manage scheduling to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Train and orient new staff on operational procedures and standards.
- Inspect supplies and work areas to uphold health and safety regulations.
- Oversee staff performance to ensure food safety and customer satisfaction.
- Address and resolve any complaints related to food quality or service.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Preferred additional education or training in food service, with at least two years of experience in a similar role.
- Prior supervisory experience is highly desirable.
Certifications:
- ServSafe Certification or equivalent food safety certification, as mandated by state regulations.
