Allina Health is seeking a dedicated psychiatrist to enhance mental health services in the community. This role is integral to a collaborative team of psychiatric professionals and nursing staff, focused on providing comprehensive outpatient mental health care and managing an adult partial hospitalization program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients to determine their suitability for various levels of care and specific treatment programs.
- Deliver direct psychiatric care, including concise assessments and therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with the treatment team, patients, and families to formulate behaviorally-focused, outcome-oriented treatment plans that address mental health challenges, functional impairments, and social-emotional needs.
- Work closely with nursing staff to address comorbid medical issues affecting the patient population.
- Engage in a multidisciplinary approach to case management.
- Provide care in various settings, including outpatient clinics and inpatient facilities.
- Maintain a consistent on-site presence throughout the workweek.
- Lead educational initiatives for staff regarding psychiatric topics.
Qualifications:
- MD, DO, or equivalent foreign training required.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified with ABMS or AOA.
- Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Capability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Meet criteria for credentialing and hospital privileges as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Light Work: Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently.
