Position Overview:

Allina Health is expanding its Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line to enhance mental health services in the surrounding communities. This role will involve collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, mental health professionals, and nursing staff to support an outpatient mental health clinic and an adult partial hospitalization program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment:
    • Conduct evaluations and diagnoses.
    • Develop collaborative treatment plans utilizing diverse therapeutic modalities.
    • Engage families in treatment planning when appropriate.
    • Regularly reassess and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
    • Consult with primary care providers regarding ongoing behavioral health management.
  • Treatment:
    • Fulfill third-party payer requirements.
    • Deliver individual, family, and group psychotherapy as outlined in treatment plans.
    • Coordinate care with other healthcare providers and community organizations.
    • Document treatment plans in accordance with departmental policies.
    • Reevaluate patient needs and progress as per departmental guidelines.
  • Participate in crisis management in collaboration with the team.
  • May assume a supervisory role within the department.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Psychology or Counseling is required.
  • 2 to 5 years of clinical experience in patient treatment is preferred.
  • Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota is required upon hire.
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support certification is required within 180 days.
  • Formal training/certification in a suicide prevention modality is required within 90 days, as applicable.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. and frequent negligible weight lifting.
