Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Providence Women and Children's Services. As a key member of our high-risk newborn care team, you will provide expert clinical management and patient education to families with critically ill newborns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to high-risk newborns and infants, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with medical and nursing teams.
  • Develop and implement patient education programs to empower families with the knowledge and skills needed to care for their critically ill newborns.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide family-centered care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Exercise autonomy of practice in ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests to drive patient treatment plans.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate neonatal nurse practitioner clinical experience.
  • Advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) licensure and certification as a neonatal nurse practitioner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, medical teams, and other healthcare professionals.
