Overview:

We are looking for a skilled AWS Cloud Operations Engineer to enhance our innovative team. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of AWS technologies, container management, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, deploy, and sustain scalable, resilient, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Oversee and fine-tune AWS services, including EC2, EKS, and associated technologies.
  • Establish and manage Kubernetes clusters for effective container orchestration.
  • Create and uphold infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Ensure optimal operation of Unix/Linux systems and environments.
  • Design and oversee microservices architecture for enhanced performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts utilizing Python.
  • Implement and manage messaging systems through Kafka.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance with tools like New Relic.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate Java applications into the CI/CD workflow.
  • Automate configuration management and deployment processes using Ansible.

Required Skills:

  • Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, EKS, etc.).
  • Proficient in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Strong understanding of Unix/Linux environments.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Solid programming skills in Python.
  • Familiarity with Kafka for messaging solutions.
  • Proficient with monitoring tools such as New Relic.
  • Knowledge of Java and its integration into CI/CD workflows.
  • Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with additional CI/CD tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with various programming languages and tools.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
