**Requirements:**
* NJ Chemistry or Physical Science Certification

* Extra duties as assigned by the building principal
**Alternate Route Program:**
* Candidates with a Certificate of Eligibility must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE-approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position.
* The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered.
**Employment History Review:**
* In accordance with S-414/A-3188, school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct.
* This review must be conducted prior to hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students.
