Position Summary: The Jefferies Cash Equity Desk is seeking a seasoned and driven Equity Trader to enhance our trading team. While we prefer candidates with a background in utilities and energy sectors, we are open to applicants with diverse sector experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute trades on the stock exchange, aiming to maximize returns for Jefferies.
- Manage risk and capital commitments effectively.
- Maintain a strong grasp of global markets and financial instruments.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve trading objectives.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of six years of experience in trading securities and instruments.
- Proven ability to manage risk and capital commitments.
- Experience in utilities and energy sectors is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with a robust work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork.
Compensation and Benefits: The role offers a competitive salary range of $200,000 - $300,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Eligible employees may also receive an annual discretionary incentive and retention bonus, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, and wellness programs. Paid time off packages encompass vacation, sick leave, holidays, and parental leave.
