Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse II to join our Neurosciences team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to a compassionate and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions.
  • Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
  • Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
  • Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
  • Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
  • Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a Neurosciences unit.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality.
