Job Summary
As a RMC Delivery Driver with CRH, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of concrete mix to job sites. This position requires a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a high school diploma or equivalent. You will be responsible for operating a truck equipped with an auxiliary concrete mixer, navigating through various weather conditions, and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to Department of Transportation regulations.
- Inspect the vehicle daily to ensure all systems are functioning properly.
- Deliver concrete mix to job sites, following established routes and procedures.
- Climb a 10-12 foot ladder on the mixer truck to inspect the load for consistency and cleanliness.
- Adjust trailer axle pressure according to load weight.
- Follow written and verbal instructions, including city street maps, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Maneuver the truck to deliver concrete to the point of delivery.
- Assemble concrete chutes, weighing 35-50 pounds each.
- Clean the truck after loading and delivery to prevent concrete from hardening.
- Spray surfaces with acid compound to clean the truck and drum according to company standards.
- Read, understand, and comply with the Safety Manual and Employee Manual.
