Job Title: HVAC Technician

Gottstein Corporation is seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to become a part of our exceptional team.

The successful candidate will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to guarantee peak performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation: Carrying out the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, which include furnaces, air conditioning units, heat pumps, boilers, and ductwork.

2. Troubleshooting: Identifying and rectifying malfunctions in HVAC systems, encompassing electrical, mechanical, and control system challenges.

3. Maintenance: Executing routine maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation and prevent failures.

4. System Testing: Conducting tests on HVAC systems to confirm they are operating correctly and meeting performance criteria.

5. Customer Interaction: Engaging with clients to address inquiries, clarify system issues, and provide suggestions for repairs or enhancements.

6. Record Keeping: Keeping precise records of work completed, including service reports, parts utilized, and time spent on each task.

7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all tasks adhere to applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.

8. Professional Development: Staying updated with industry advancements, technologies, and best practices through continuous training and professional growth.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

1. Technical Expertise: Competence in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair methodologies. Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

2. Certification: Certification from a recognized HVAC program or relevant trade certification is typically required, which may include EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling.

3. Experience: Prior experience as an HVAC technician or in a related role is generally preferred.

4. Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces, crawlspaces, and outdoor settings under varying weather conditions.

5. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to efficiently identify and resolve HVAC system issues.

6. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and people skills for engaging with customers and conveying technical information clearly.

7. Attention to Detail: Capability to follow detailed instructions, interpret technical manuals, and accurately document work performed.

8. Safety Awareness: Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a secure working environment for oneself and others.

9. Driver's License: A valid driver's license is necessary for traveling to job sites.

10. Adaptability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required to meet customer needs and deadlines.
