Position Overview:
Aramark SeniorLIFE+ is seeking a dedicated Clinical Dietitian to enhance our nutritional services within the senior living sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical nutrition therapy assessments for residents to address both acute and chronic health issues.
- Provide education on therapeutic diets and nutrition interventions aimed at improving residents' health outcomes and overall quality of life.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, dietary managers, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and nurse practitioners to deliver tailored nutritional therapy, including therapeutic diets and oral nutrition supplements.
- Monitor residents for weight fluctuations, enteral feeding needs, dialysis, and wound care.
- Actively participate in resident review meetings focusing on high-risk individuals.
- Perform nutrition assessments across a diverse population, ensuring the development and implementation of nutrition intervention plans in line with the Nutrition Care Process.
- Offer personalized nutrition counseling, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Utilize assessment techniques that respect the varied requirements of different age groups and cultural backgrounds.
- Ensure appropriate follow-ups in accordance with treatment goals, referring residents to outpatient counseling or community services as necessary.
- Work in partnership with medical and food service teams to guarantee adherence to prescribed nutrition care orders.
- Provide education that promotes compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in Dietetics or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is essential.
- Illinois state licensure as a Dietitian is required.
- Familiarity with PointClickCare and MDS processes is advantageous.
