We are seeking a highly skilled Veterinary Technician Manager to oversee our technical staff at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital Pasadena.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a technical staff that adheres to the principles of Quality, Integrity, Compassion, and Service.
- Responsible for the training, performance, scheduling, and review of department technical staff.
- Provide primary point of contact for technical questions, comments, concerns, and issues.
- Schedule and perform interviews and skill assessments for new hires.
- Appropriate scheduling of technical staff to maximize coverage and minimize overtime.
- Responsible for ensuring the Cubex is fully stocked and maintained.
- Provision of medical, behavioral, and performance expectations to technical staff.
- Oversight of technical staff performance, ensuring quality control and consistency.
- Performance of technical staff review on a regular basis.
- Communication with Hospital Administrator on equipment performance and maintenance.
- Work closely with Hospital Administrator and administrative team to ensure consistent practices.
- Act as primary person for resource management of technical staff.
- Oversee training of technical staff in various areas of technical skills.
- Responsible for scheduling regular technical staff meetings and verifying action items.
- General facility oversight and knowledge.
- The Veterinary Technician Manager should possess an RVT and 2+ years of lead or supervisory experience.
- Must be an excellent leader and well-organized with the ability to multi-task effectively.
