Role Summary:
The Aquatic Safety Officer is tasked with monitoring the swimming area and performing rescues to assist swimmers in distress. Responsibilities include communicating with patrons to enforce aquatic regulations, tracking swimmers in the facility, and providing first aid when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and uphold all aquatic center policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Effectively rescue and provide resuscitation to individuals in need, adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the aquatic facility.
  • Fulfill all scheduled responsibilities and assignments.
  • Regularly engage in tasks that may involve exposure to blood or bloodborne pathogens, with compliance to federal regulations regarding health and safety training.
  • Maintain up-to-date certifications relevant to the role.
Qualifications:

Experience and Skills:
  • Current Lifeguard certification.
  • Preferred training in CPR and first aid.
Work Environment:
  • Indoor setting within a climate-controlled aquatic facility.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday during operational hours, with variable weekend shifts.
