Respiratory Therapist Job Description

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our critical care and non-critical care venues. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and be committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized respiratory care plans.
  • Operate specialized ventilators and other respiratory equipment to support patient care.
  • Provide medication treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and disease management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
