Position Overview

The Plant Technical Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of skilled engineers and technicians dedicated to the advancement of plastic injection and welding technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of 13 engineers and advanced technicians.
  • Develop, integrate, and validate innovative plastic injection and welding technologies.
  • Implement assembly technologies utilizing vision systems and electronic error-proofing methods.
  • Oversee material movement technologies, including programmable logic controller (PLC)-based machinery.
  • Ensure the successful introduction of new products and processes while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor quality during the initial phases of manufacturing systems and equipment development.
  • Facilitate product manufacturing launches and high-volume production of automotive components.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 60 months of experience in a managerial role within manufacturing engineering or operations is required. Experience in leading teams to engineer and validate plastic technologies is essential.

This role demands a strong understanding of assembly technologies and material movement systems, particularly those utilizing Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC-based machines.
