Position Overview
The Quality Assurance Engineer for Suppliers will play a crucial role in conveying product and system specifications to suppliers while overseeing the qualification procedures. Key responsibilities include monitoring supplier quality metrics, pinpointing areas for enhancement, and collaborating closely with engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and relay Supplier First Article submissions
- Supervise supplier activities related to Quality
- Assess supplier quality outcomes and recommend enhancements
- Address supplier non-conformities and discrepancies
- Engage in 8D problem-solving investigations
- Assist in work transfer assessments and concurrent engineering efforts
- Coordinate with Release Agents and track performance metrics
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in manufacturing engineering or production within the aerospace domain
- Understanding of ITAR/EAR compliance
Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards
- Experience in New Product Introduction and cross-functional collaboration between Purchasing and Engineering
- Proficient in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication and organizational capabilities
- Knowledge of aerospace products and technologies
- Competence in Microsoft Office and ERP software
