Inpatient DRG Validator

Job Description:
TAL Healthcare is a full-service healthcare recruitment solutions provider, and we're looking for a highly skilled Clinical Validation Auditor to join our team. As an Inpatient DRG Validator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of coding and provider documentation in compliance with Uniform Hospital Discharge Data Set (UHDDS) and Medicare guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough audits of inpatient medical records to ensure the accuracy of coding and provider documentation.
- Review the correct assignment of ICD-10-CM diagnosis & ICD-10-PCS procedure codes, and provide expert analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement effective training programs for coders and other healthcare professionals to improve coding accuracy and adherence to regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain a robust auditing process that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry developments to ensure that our clients receive the highest level of service.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Records Administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in clinical validation, coding, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data sets and identify trends and patterns
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
