Japanese Language Specialist

As a Japanese Interpreter/Translator in the Engineering Support team at Panasonic Energy of North America, you will be responsible for translating and editing various business documents, including corporate communications, internal/external presentations, proposals, and contracts from Japanese to English. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all translated documents adhere to company style guides and quality standards.
In addition to translation, your role will involve conducting terminology and linguistic research, supporting a terminology database using memory software tools, and serving as an interpreter for spoken communications between Japanese expats and domestic staff.
Secondary Responsibilities:
You will also provide technical support for manufacturing in one or more areas, covering construction and engineering. Close collaboration with construction, engineering, and production teams is essential to ensure smooth project execution, prompt delivery of engineering or production deliverables, and effective communication among all stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess exceptional communication skills in both Japanese and English, with the ability to translate quickly and accurately. You should also be skilled in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and have experience working in a business/technical environment.
