**Job Summary**
Shaker for ChristianaCare Direct is seeking a skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to individuals with mental health conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop effective treatment plans to address these needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses to these interventions.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Requirements:
- Current Delaware RN license or eligibility for Delaware RN license
- BLS required
- Psychiatric Nursing experience is not required, but a passion for working with the psychiatric population and ability to learn is essential
- Preferred two year med/surg experience in an acute care setting
- Professional Certification in Psychiatric–Mental Health or Medical/Surgical preferred
