Description

This position is responsible for the end-to-end execution of internal audit projects. This includes researching agency guidelines and/or Federal and state law to determine requirements, reviewing internal policies and procedures, identifying risks with UHM policy and procedure, identifying the corresponding control environment, creating and executing testing, and drafting the audit report. Opportunity to work with all areas of the organization giving the candidate a comprehensive view of the company and the risk and control environment. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Research Federal and state law or Agency guidelines to gain an understanding of expected requirements
  • Work with subject matter experts to go through and document various payroll processes
  • Identify risks and controls for the area under audit
  • Develop thorough testing plans to determine the adequacy of the internal controls
  • Work through potential findings with the business unit
  • Draft final report
  • Follow up to ensure corrective action has been implemented and is working as intended
Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • 3+ years experience as an internal auditor
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
