  3. Knowledge Maintenance: Stay informed about current wellness trends to provide valuable insights and guidance to members.
  4. Relationship Building: Cultivate authentic connections with members, encouraging interaction and camaraderie among participants.
  5. Adaptability: Modify exercises to accommodate the diverse abilities, health conditions, and cultural backgrounds of participants.
  6. Celebration of Success: Acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of participants in relation to their fitness goals.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate attendance records for all classes.
  8. Policy Adherence: Follow all YMCA policies and procedures, and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in exercise science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  2. A minimum of two years of experience in group exercise environments.
  3. Experience in personal training and wellness programming.
  4. Background in marketing and event coordination.
Skills and Competencies
  1. Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships with the community.
  2. Ability to implement the YMCA's mission and goals into classes and programs.
  3. Team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with staff.
  4. Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, including adults, youth, and seniors.
  5. Preferred certifications: ACE, AFAA, FRA, NSCF, or ACSM.
  6. Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
  7. 1-2 years of fitness experience is preferred.
