Centralized Sterile Technician Leader

We are seeking an experienced Centralized Sterile Technician to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week with a shift schedule of 8 hours, evenings.
Job SummaryThe Centralized Sterile Technician will be responsible for drafting policy provisions, providing interpretation of function or department policies, and identifying the need for and drafting or defining procedures/protocols in collaboration with higher management input, goals and objectives. This role also involves monitoring the quality and quantity of work flow to ensure work is completed, initiating or recommending personnel actions such as hires, fires, disciplines, etc., and completing performance appraisals.
Key Responsibilities- Drafts policy provisions and provides interpretation of function or department policies
- Identifies the need for and drafts or defines procedures/protocols in collaboration with higher management input, goals and objectives
- Monitors the quality and quantity of work flow to ensure work is completed
- Initiates or recommends personnel actions such as hires, fires, disciplines, etc.
- Completes performance appraisals
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- An Associates Degree or 2-3 years progressively more responsible experience in Central Processing/Materials Management or related similar work including some leadership/supervisory experience
- Certification CSPDT or CRCST preferred
