We are seeking a Senior Medical Instrument Technician to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for decontaminating, sorting, inspecting, testing, assembling, and sterilizing various medical instruments and equipment. This includes preparing case carts, crash carts, and other emergency carts according to established pick lists. The ideal candidate will also restock unused supplies, notify staff of low stock levels, and maintain accurate records.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week with an 8-hour evening shift schedule. We offer a competitive salary range of $54,000 - $64,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An accredited program in Central Services Processing or six months of equivalent experience in a Central Sterile Processing department is preferred.
  • Certification through CBSPD or IAHCSMM is required within 12 months of hire date.

A strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures is essential for this role. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are also required, as well as attention to detail and ability to work independently.
