USSC Acquisition Corp is seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team in a brand new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. As an Assembly Specialist, you will play a vital role in the production of our award-winning proprietary commercial transportation seating.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble all units within the designated timeline and to customer satisfaction, utilizing a variety of hand tools and equipment, following standardized sheets, drawings, samples, and verbal instructions.
- Prioritize attention to detail throughout all stages of work to meet quality objectives and minimize scrap, quality rejects, and rework.
- Conduct quality checks on your own work and the work of other team members, ensuring all aspects of the assembly are complete and correct.
- Provide support and information to team members to accomplish team goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized facility.
- Work cooperatively with assigned production teams and provide assistance to other teams as needed.
- Maintain the necessary certifications to perform the assembly process assigned and seek out opportunities for cross-training and growth.
- Conscientiously observe workplace safety practices and company rules.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with additional relevant training such as shop class, blueprint reading, welding, or machine shop.
- Experience working with hands to build or repair things, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Exceptional motor coordination and ability to use a variety of tools safely.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, directions, and communication in English.
- Experience performing basic shop math calculations and reading simple blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 12 hours a day.
- A positive attitude and ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
- Adherence to USSC Acquisition Corp's attendance and punctuality standards.
- Ability to work a reasonable amount of overtime as needed to support company growth.
