Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team in a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling our award-winning proprietary commercial transportation seating, working closely with a team of highly motivated and skilled team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble units within the set timeline and to customer satisfaction, using a variety of hand tools and equipment, following standardized sheets, drawings, samples, and verbal instructions.
  • Prioritize attention to detail throughout all stages of work to meet quality objectives and eliminate scrap, quality rejects, and rework.
  • Check your own work and the work of other team members to ensure all aspects of the assembly are complete and correct.
  • Provide team support to accomplish team goals and maintain an organized and clean workstation.
  • Work cooperatively with assigned production teams and assist other teams as needed to provide any assistance required.
  • Maintain the necessary certification(s) to perform the assembly process assigned and seek out cross-training and other opportunities to grow and improve.
  • Conscientiously observe all company rules and safety practices to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • You possess a high school diploma or equivalent and may have additional relevant training, such as shop class, blueprint reading, welding, or machine shop.
  • You have experience working with your hands to build or repair things and can troubleshoot mechanical problems.
  • You have exceptional motor coordination and can use a variety of tools in a safe manner.
  • You can follow verbal and written instructions, directions, and other communication in English.
  • You are experienced in performing basic shop math calculations and reading simple blueprints and drawings.
  • You can occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 12 hours a day.
  • You have a positive attitude and can work cohesively in a team environment.
  • You adhere to United Safety's attendance and punctuality standards and do not burden co-workers and supervisors unfairly with unnecessary and unplanned absences and lateness.
  • You are willing to work a reasonable amount of overtime as needed to support the growth of the company.
