Job Summary

We are looking for a self-motivated and reliable Fire Alarm Project Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain various fire alarm systems in commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience with low voltage cabling, conduit installation, and cable support structures.

Responsibilities
  • Install and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in commercial buildings
  • Run low voltage cabling, including drilling concrete walls and conduit work
  • Ensure all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations
  • Install cable support structures, such as j-hooks and cable racks
  • Conduct tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational
  • Troubleshoot issues with cable networks
  • Adhere to all required project safety requirements
Requirements
  • Preferred current State Fire/Alarm License
  • Experience as a Fire Alarm Project Technician
  • Available for extensive travel, 2 weeks away from home at a time within a 4 hour radius of your residence
  • Flexible and willing to work on-call, day or night shifts as the jobs require
  • Experience reading blueprints and site maps
  • Knowledge of fire alarm panels and CCTV, voice, and data cabling
  • Ability to work in cramped spaces and operate a BOOM or scissor lift
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
