Clinical Laboratory Scientist II

This position performs a wide range of laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, and result reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory science and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing and testing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Assure quality control procedures are followed.
- Calculate and enter results of laboratory procedures.
- Provide notification and documentation of critical laboratory values.
- Process patient specimens, including collection, handling, and distribution.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or the American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB) is also required.
Work Schedule and TypeThe work schedule and type for this position will be determined by the department.
