Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. This role will report directly to the US Safety Manager and is pivotal in fostering a safety-centric culture across multiple TEAM locations. The ideal candidate will be proactive and resourceful, responsible for conducting routine inspections, audits, and participating in investigative practices within an industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain safety-related documentation and records in designated locations.
  • Travel to various US site locations to perform safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Conduct regular hazard assessments, including inventory management of materials and supplies.
  • Perform both scheduled and unscheduled safety audits to evaluate the effectiveness of safety standards and practices.
  • Ensure adherence to company-level health and safety guidelines, recommending improvements as necessary.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, near misses, and accidents, providing sound recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Stay informed on state and federal health and safety regulations.
  • Deliver training sessions, both online and in-person, for new and existing staff members.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of health and safety best practices.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Safety Coordinator role or similar position.
  • Experience in general industrial settings for at least 2-3 years.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred.
  • OSHA certification 501/500 and CSP designation are required.
  • Proficient in computer processing and database management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in investigations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including root cause analysis.
  • Willingness to travel within the US for work-related duties.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
