We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic A to join our team at ADUSA Distribution. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks and work orders on all assigned facilities and equipment, both inside and outside the facility.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all equipment and facilities are operating effectively and efficiently to support all operations.
- Carry out duties in a productive manner and learn skills available through training and job shadowing.
- Enter work into the computer maintenance system throughout the work shift and use it to investigate and identify repeat repairs and previous work performed on that equipment.
- Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment and systems as necessary.
- Be proficient in performing preventative and predictive maintenance with little or no assistance.
- Able to safely shut down systems and equipment and meet all standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Able to troubleshoot and perform repairs on complex systems and equipment.
- Meet evaluation standards on work orders and observations by management to assess and evaluate skill level and proficiency within the maintenance department.
- Able to provide guidance and training to Mechanic B level individuals and support associates.
- Remain proficient in maintenance trade as required and stay current with today's technology as required and offered by training courses/classes.
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting the work group or center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety, and productivity.
- Perform work at elevated levels in areas of safety, electrical, electronics, refrigeration, material handling, mechanical, welding, fire systems, and domestic water/waste water (where applicable).
- Follow good sanitation practices; keep the work area clean and free of debris.
- Prior experience in mechanical areas.
- Certified on powered industrial equipment where applicable.
- Familiarity/experience in maintenance environment.
- The individual will need to show elevated experience, expertise, and proficiency in the following essential functions to be hired or hold a Mechanic A level position in one or more of the following areas based on assessment by manager:
- Safety
- Electrical
- Refrigeration
- Material Handling
- Mechanical
- Welding
- Fire Systems
- Domestic Water/Waste Water
- High school education or equivalent.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Successful completion of assessment evaluation to demonstrate experience and proficiency in areas or tasks assigned.
- Good communication, verbal and written skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of schematic / blueprint documents.
- Ability to communicate and complete required record keeping functions.
- Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Able to gain knowledge and learn more complex tasks as experience is gained over time.
- Able to supply own tools to complete required work.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Be able to provide guidance / coordination with the operation and maintenance staff.
