About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Climate Protection Manager to join our Climate and Environmental Quality Department at Crimson Enterprises. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve our goal of becoming climate neutral by 2035.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce the city's carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices.
  • Coordinate and support the implementation of measures from the Lakeside Climate Plan, including the development of a municipal heat plan.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the city administration and community to advance climate protection and adaptation efforts.
  • Monitor and report on progress towards climate neutrality, identifying areas for improvement and developing recommendations for future action.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge of climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, as well as environmental policy and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives, with a focus on climate protection and environmental quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making.
