Dietitian Position at University of Washington

Job Summary
University of Washington is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at UW Medical Center. As a key member of our Patient Nutrition department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting healthy lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' nutritional needs and develop comprehensive care plans to promote disease prevention and treatment.
- Provide clinical dietitian services and nutrition education to inpatients and outpatients, either individually or in group settings.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to initiate consultation and document care plans, results, and services provided.
- Participate in performance improvement programs and contribute to the development and implementation of nutritional standards of care.
- Support patient satisfaction and customer service initiatives, working closely with diet technicians, clerks, and other food service staff to ensure patient room meals are prepared and delivered according to nutritional care plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition or dietetics and registration as a Dietitian by the American Dietetic Association.
- Eligibility for registration at the time of hire and passing the registration examination within one year of date of hire.
