As a small business located in Delaware County, PA, we are committed to delivering top-notch animal care when pet owners are unavailable. Our mission is to ensure that every pet receives the love and attention they deserve.
Work Schedule:
This position is designed for part-time availability. Candidates should ideally be available Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM. You will be assigned 5-10 visits daily based on client needs and staffing. There are opportunities for additional earnings before 10 AM, after 3 PM, and on weekends.
- This role is intended to be part-time, with most staff working between 15-30 hours weekly.
- Operating hours are from 7 AM to 10 PM.
- Consistent availability is preferred; this is not a flexible position.
- Available work blocks include:
- Early Daytime: 7 AM - 2 PM
- Daytime Only: 9 AM - 3 PM
- Evening/Weekend: 5 PM - 10 PM at least 3 days per week, 3 weekends per month
- Optional overnight pet sitting for additional earnings.
- Availability on major holidays is required.
Location:
We are currently hiring in Media and surrounding areas.
Compensation:
Hourly pay ranges from $17 to $21, with earnings based on visits. Most staff average between $19 and $21 per hour, including bonuses and client gratuities.
- Potential monthly earnings of $1,000 to $2,300.
- 100% of client gratuity is retained.
- Mileage reimbursement is provided.
- Flat rate of $79.95 per night for overnight services.
- Employee discounts and paid training are included.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide a variety of services, including daily dog walks, vacation visits, overnight stays, and cat care.
- Exhibit empathy and patience towards all pets, regardless of size or species.
- Maintain professional communication with clients and management.
- Demonstrate reliability and dedication, as pets depend on our services.
- Be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Possess a modern smartphone with texting, photo, data, and GPS capabilities.
- Collaborate effectively as a team player.
- Manage time efficiently to ensure punctuality for all visits.
- Have a genuine passion for animal care and safety.
Ideal Candidate:
- Honest, patient, and enthusiastic individuals who can provide high-quality care for pets.
- Previous experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
- Enjoy an active work environment, with a willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
- Preference will be given to candidates with evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday availability.
