Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiopulmonary Nursing Assistant to join our team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect patient care services, including vital sign monitoring, wound care, and mobility assistance.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in patient education and support, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Perform various clinical tasks, such as electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring, blood glucose testing, and bladder scanning.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as cardiac arrests, and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine, active on the State of Maine CNA Registry.
  • One year of continuous CNA experience required.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Additional languages preferred.
