About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join the US Government Other Agencies and Independent Organizations team as an Environmental Scientist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and assistance to management and technical leads to help implement procurement activities for environmental protection programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop solutions for policy or programmatic problems related to technical contracts, grants, or Inter-Agency agreements.
  • Manage activities related to the initiation, administration, and/or close-out of very complex, difficult, or novel contracts, interagency agreements (IAs), cooperative agreements, and grants.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, training, and technical supervision to junior project officers.
  • Manage special projects and provide technical/programmatic support to environmental programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
  • One year of full-time specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as developing solutions for policy or programmatic problems related to technical contracts, grants, or Inter-Agency agreements, or managing activities related to the initiation, administration, and/or close-out of contracts, interagency agreements (IAs), cooperative agreements, or grants.
