The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient-centered care by providing critical anesthesia support to the anesthesia clinician during surgical procedures.
This is a high-energy role that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering top-notch patient care. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and organizing equipment and supplies for scheduled and emergent cases.
You will transport and set up equipment needed for procedures, including laryngoscope blades, monitors, EKG cables, ETCO2 lines, pulse oximetry cables, temperature cables, and oxygen tanks/tubing.
A key aspect of this role is ensuring that equipment is decontaminated and in good working condition before each procedure. This involves following department procedures for proper procurement and handling of non-controlled medications, I.V. fluids, contrast media, and irrigating fluids in the surgical services area.
In addition to equipment management, you will perform thorough room turnovers between procedures, which includes cleaning and disinfection, restocking of anesthesia supplies, and cleaning/storing of anesthesia equipment and instrumentation as needed.
This role also requires proficiency with equipment point-of-use care and transport, including initial bedside decontamination of TEE probe and bronchoscope.
As an Anesthesia Technician, you will calibrate and troubleshoot minor malfunctions of anesthesia equipment, removing and reporting all damaged or unsafe equipment.
You will respond promptly to on-call situations as scheduled.
Requirements:- BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Graduate of an Anesthesia Technician program preferred.
- One (1) year experience as an Anesthesia Technician preferred.
- Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and components.
- Excellent effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Skills to organize and maintain supplies and equipment.
We offer a competitive salary range of $18.91 - $25.54 per hour.
