Position Overview
Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is actively seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join our team, focusing on the operations of our gas processing facilities.

This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of our facilities, with a primary emphasis on enhancing the performance and reliability of our compression systems and optimizing NGL recoveries.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Engineering Support:
    Conducting modeling and analysis of process systems, optimizing plant operations, specifying new equipment, ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management, executing Management of Change (MOC) procedures, and drafting or reviewing operational guidelines.
  • Operations Support:
    Troubleshooting process and compression equipment, monitoring plant processes via PLC, DCS, or SCADA systems, assisting with daily operations, identifying and addressing safety and environmental issues, and participating in emergency response training.
  • Maintenance Support:
    Developing solutions for equipment challenges, improving system designs to reduce maintenance costs, planning facility shutdowns, collaborating with maintenance teams, and creating maintenance work orders.
  • Project Support:
    Designing and modifying process systems, preparing project cost estimates, overseeing equipment procurement, supervising on-site work crews, tracking project expenses, and completing necessary project documentation.
  • Additional Duties:
    Operating company vehicles as required and performing other assigned tasks.

Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, with a strong preference for degrees in Chemical Engineering, Natural Gas Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

Working Conditions:
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions. Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working at heights.

Required Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong analytical and communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to teamwork.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in oil and gas operations, familiarity with amine treating systems, knowledge of reciprocating compression, and experience with process control design.
