Grant Writer

Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Council, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving Native American Tribes in Wisconsin. We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to join our team.

The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, identifying, and developing grant proposals to support our organization's programs and services. This is a full-time exempt position that requires strong writing and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Develop and write grant proposals to meet organizational needs
• Research and identify funding sources, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations
• Draft proposal applications and monitor their status during and after submission
• Communicate and coordinate with organizational members to facilitate proposal development
• Maintain a database of information about funding sources, areas of interest, and requirements
• Assist with the development of the Funding Framework for the GLITC Strategic Plan

• Bachelor's degree in business, communications, English, or a related field
• Minimum three years of grant writing and funding experience
• Experience with Native American Tribal organizations and/or non-profit agencies is desirable
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills and ability to manage time effectively
• Self-motivation and ability to work under pressure

This position includes a competitive salary range of $55,000, annual leave, personal leave, and holiday pay, as well as health, dental, life, and AD&D insurance, FSA, and 401(k) retirement plan.
