Position Overview:

The role of a Field Service Technician is crucial within Kinetic's operations, as these professionals embody our esteemed telecommunications brand, facilitating connections for homeowners, small businesses, enterprises, and carrier partners across the nation. Our Field Service Technicians are passionate about technology and committed to linking customers with valuable products. By offering technical expertise and exceptional customer support, they foster meaningful relationships that endure over time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain business communication services, including telephone, internet, and video systems.
  • Utilize tools and testing equipment to service various technologies and network architectures.
  • Advise customers on products and services that meet their communication requirements.
  • Perform work in both underground and overhead environments, requiring skills in pole climbing and ladder usage.
  • Safely operate and keep the company service vehicle clean and organized.
  • Engage in work across both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Complete necessary safety training and adhere to safety standards and regulations.
  • Report directly to the Manager of Local Operations.

Qualifications:

  • Basic technology and mathematical skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to distinguish colors for color-coded cabling.
  • Capable of using equipment with a maximum load capacity of 275 lbs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
  • Successful completion of required safety training.
  • Flexibility to work assigned schedules, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Willingness to respond to after-hours callouts.
  • Experience in customer service or sales.
  • Relevant certifications or training related to the position.
  • Two-year technical degree in computers or electronics, or equivalent work experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
