Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8pm - 8 am

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct patient care consistent with your education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with a physician, which includes diagnosis, management, and/or referral of health care issues.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers direct patient care consistent with the advanced practice registered nurse's education, experience, and certification
  • Promotes consumer, family, and community health through preventative health care actions and through patient advocacy
  • Manages complex illnesses and/or delivers specialty care
  • Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System

Requirements

  • MSN or grandfathered under Ohio Revised Code
  • Graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program
  • Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty PMHNP
  • One or more years of inpatient clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire
  • Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire
