Unlock Your Potential in Mortgage Lending
Fifth Third Bank is seeking a skilled Mortgage Loan Originator to join our team. As a CRA Mortgage Loan Originator, you will be responsible for originating residential 1st mortgage loans for branch offices and outside referrals. Your primary focus will be on selling CRA products and services, targeting low to moderate-income individuals and areas, as well as non-profit organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with realtors, builders, and other referral sources to identify potential CRA prospects.
- Maintain knowledge of Fifth Third Mortgage Company's policies and procedures, as well as available loan products and processing procedures.
- Conduct homebuyer-training seminars for CRA potential applicants and handle employee loans.
- Utilize the laptop for communication, access of daily rates, and transmission of loan packages.
- Manage pipeline for all originated loans through closing and complete required management reports.
- Communicate with applicants and referral sources to provide timely updates and progress reports.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent mandatory; four-year college degree preferred.
- Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines, residential mortgage processing, underwriting, and closing procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, as well as demonstrated teamwork and customer service skills.
- Proven computer skills and basic sales technique skills.
