Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with the corporate safety program.

  • Respond to emergency road calls for truck repairs.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Regional Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist in financial forecasting and budget planning.
  • Ensure departmental costs remain within budgetary constraints.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to plan, budget, schedule, and oversee multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of DOT compliance regulations.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve corporate and regional goals.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a focus on cost-effective solutions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance for trucks or heavy equipment, preferably in the waste industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and motivate team members.
  • Knowledge of air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
  • Trade or Technical School Certificate is preferred; High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must obtain or be eligible for CDL certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing vehicles and equipment.
