Key Responsibilities:
As a Certified Surgical Technologist, your role will include:
  • Assisting surgeons and medical staff in operating rooms and similar settings.
  • Preparing patients, surgical rooms, and necessary equipment for upcoming procedures.
  • Ensuring all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use, while also confirming their functionality.
  • Preparing patients for surgery by cleaning and disinfecting the surgical site.
  • Moving patients to the operating room and positioning them correctly on the surgical table, using sterile drapes. Monitoring patients' vital signs during procedures is also part of your responsibilities.
  • During surgeries, you will pass sterile instruments to surgeons, assist with suturing, keep track of surgical materials, operate lights, and help in dressing wounds. Additionally, you may be responsible for the preparation and disposal of lab specimens.
