Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and establish effective treatment plans to achieve set goals.
- Provide physician-prescribed physical therapy treatment to patients within the assigned caseload.
- Prioritize caseloads and available treatment times to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Improve or minimize residual physical disabilities of patients using correct modalities of treatment.
- Recognize contraindications to continuing with scheduled treatment and consult with responsible physicians.
- Involves family or caregivers in treatment plans and discharge planning.
- Interprets information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs.
- Performs appropriate documentation to effectively communicate patients' functional status to physicians, insurance companies, and patients' caregivers.
- Consults with hospital personnel to provide quality patient care and cost-efficient programming.
- Maintains and models REACH Values (Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Compassion, Honor).
- Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physical therapy school.
- PREFER: Master's Degree or DPT Degree.
- PREFER: One (1) year of work-related experience.
- PREFER: One to two (1-2) years' experience with electronic medical records.
- PREFER: One to two (1-2) years' experience in orthopedics, neurological, and vestibular disorders.
Essential:
- Significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity.
- Significant occupational risk.
- Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
