Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Waterview Hills Campus. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and care of our residents.
Responsibilities- Organize and conduct physical therapy programs planned and overseen by the Physical Therapist to facilitate rehabilitation of residents who have experienced a decrease in functions.
- Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Physical Therapy services under the supervision of the Physical Therapist to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care.
- Perform treatment programs for assigned residents and enter billing information in an accurate and timely manner.
- Report resident progress in meetings, such as UR Meetings and Patient/Family Conferences, as deemed required or appropriate.
- Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to coordinate physical therapy with other therapeutic activities.
- Provide residents with equipment as appropriate and chart notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflects the therapy provided to the residents, as well as their response to the therapy.
- Perform routine documentation as required and in accordance with our established charting and documentation policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
- Licensed in NY State as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA); license in good standing.
- Previous skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience highly preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure and willing to work harmoniously with all staff.
- Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, and handicapped.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, and staff.
- Treat residents and fellow staff with respect, dignity, and compassion.
