Job Summary

Benedictine University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Lecturer in Graphic Design to teach Graphic Design courses in a part-time, non-benefit eligible position. The successful candidate will have a terminal degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or relevant work experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Graphic Design courses, including Typography, Graphic Design II, Computer Art, and Senior Portfolio in the spring semester, and Fundamentals of Design, History of Graphic Design, Graphic Design I, UI/UX Design, and Motion Graphics in the fall semester.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and course materials to meet the needs of students.
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to promote academic success.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments in Graphic Design to ensure curriculum relevance and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Terminal degree in Graphic Design or a related field, or relevant work experience in the industry.
  • Teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and beyond is required.
