Machine Builder Job Description

At ProTech Staffing Solutions, we are seeking a skilled Machine Builder to join our team. As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for assembling machinery based on blueprints and schematics using hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to identify the correct parts and components.
  • Assemble machinery by standing, sitting, and climbing in and around the machine.
  • Cut and prepare belts, chains, and hydraulic hoses for use.
  • Identify and assemble drive components, including mounting motors and couplings to gearboxes and mounting in a frame.
  • Completely assemble, troubleshoot, and test machines.
  • Provide service, setup, and other startup functions at customers' job sites.
  • Some limited travel may be expected, with a shift differential for service travel calculated at 15%.
Requirements:
  • Lifting a maximum of 25 pounds.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Use and read tape measures, torque wrenches, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck and overhead crane.
  • Ability to adapt methods and ideas to attain continuous improvement.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
