Job Summary

The Pharmacy Operations Manager reports to the Director of Operations. Under general direction, ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for a single pharmacy; dispenses prescribed medications; may provide functional supervision of professional, paraprofessional, and support staff; and performs related duties as required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure Accurate and Timely Prescription Filling
  • Maintain Optimal Staffing Levels
  • Develop and Supervise Pharmacy Staff
  • Identify and Implement Efficiency Improvements
  • Oversee Pharmacy Workflow and Operations
  • Contribute to Pharmacy Production
  • Liaise with Senior Management to Resolve Conflicting Priorities
  • Resolve Customer Service Issues
  • Onboard New Business
  • Ensure Compliance with State and Federal Laws
  • Drive Financial Profitability and Growth
  • Motivate and Develop Pharmacy Staff
  • Create a Positive Team Environment
  • Recruit Top Talent
  • Review Key Performance Indicators
  • Conduct Workforce Planning and Business Planning
  • Build Relationships with the Community and Stakeholders
Physical Requirements

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.
  • The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to organize and plan the activities of subaprofessionals, and to delegate appropriately.
  • Pharmacy Degree and State Licensure.
  • Compounding experience.
  • Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two plus years of experience.
  • Leadership experience including interviewing and training skills.
