Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Administrator and Bookkeeper to support our team at Saveurs Du Monde Caf.

In this dual role, you will assist in the day-to-day administration and financial operations, working closely with both the accounting and management departments.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing trial balances, and assisting with administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate is organized, capable of multitasking, and possesses a solid understanding of bookkeeping and basic office procedures.

Responsibilities:

Enter and verify financial data and transactions

Prepare trial balances and ensure accurate financial reporting

Process accounts payable and receivable

Assist in the preparation and filing of tax forms and compliance documentation

Maintain budgets and other financial records

Perform administrative tasks, including managing calendars, correspondence, and office supplies

Provide support with payroll, invoicing, and other accounting tasks

Assist in implementing efficient administrative and accounting processes

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

Prior experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or Administrative Assistant

Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), Canvas, QuickBooks online, and other accounting software

Excellent organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills

High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Strong communication and time management skills
